We’re on the lookout for the brightest emerging and mid-career artists on the international scene.

This year Rise Art is asking artists to submit new works that engage with the theme of EDGES.

If you think you’ve got what our judges are looking for - an accomplished craft, a visionary eye and a thrilling idea - then look out for our submissions launch in the next few months. To enter, we’ll ask you to submit a PDF proposal along with an up-to-date artist CV.  

Shortly after submissions close we’ll give our finalists the green light to start working on their pieces, which will be showcased in the Rise Art Prize finalist exhibition later in the year.

The overall winner of the competition will be announced during the exhibition week and will be crowned the Rise Art Prize Artist of the Year 2020. The award includes a £20,000 cash prize and one year's curatorial and commercial support.

Please note that your proposed artwork must engage with the theme. It needs to be a new, unique work conceived and produced specifically for the Rise Art Prize 2020. We encourage artists practising across all media, including video and audio, to apply - but this time around we won’t be accepting performance art.
